Hello and welcome to the message forums for our We Love Gillian Anderson fan network!
My name is Ryan and I am the founder and head administrator of this little fan network. In addition to our main website www.welovegillian.com we have expanded to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr and now here. I personally have been obsessed with The X-Files and especially Gillian Anderson for almost 20 years now since I was the 9th grade. Let me tell you a bit how it all began for me...
True story: The first X-Files episode I ever saw was "Darkness Falls" (1X19) (pictured above) in April 1994. Then "Ice" (1x07). Both still in my top favorites.
Both episodes were immediately followed that same night and following morning by watching all of the other 18 episodes that had aired so far up to that point. Watching them all from good old VHS TV recordings of each original broadcast. Thus began my obsession with the show and especially Gillian ♥
Side note: Eventually got rid of the TV recorded VHS tapes of all the episodes once I got the entire series on DVD years ago. I still do have all the official VHS releases from the series. Each official VHS tape of course had two episodes each with introduction by Chris Carter. Two of the tapes contain these two episodes as well. I still have two working VCRs and I will forever keep the official VHS tapes.
Anything with X-Files or Gillian on it is a treasured item to me. To this day I still have X-Files and Gillian books, posters, games, CDs and tons of other items all over the place
This year I finally got my first Gillian autograph:
Sent to me by a fellow fan. This classic photo was SIGNED by Gillian herself back in early 1997 while on the Vancouver, BC set of The X-Files. Really cool knowing Gillian signed the photo while on set actually acting as Scully sometime during late Season 4
The photo is in a removable hard plastic case (just like one you would put a hockey card in). I will get it framed soon. Came with certificate of authenticity as well.
The photo is 13.6 inches x 9.4 inches. Before Gillian signed the photo, it was taken from a page in the 1996 collector's photo book "Crazy Sexy Cool" which is still available On Amazon.com (without Gillian's signature of course )
That's enough rambling from me. I hope you enjoy this message forum and all of our other sites. Don't be afraid to say hi
